Bright and Cheery colours...

I started doing this at the last craft club session I went to, but I originally had intended to use a different set of 3 photos. Well I tried and tried to make it work but the background paper really fought with the pics and I just thought, no, this isn't right, so, I brought it home and changed to this one photo. With a black mat to bring things together it helps make sense of all the colours that are hopping up and down! So it transformed into this! I love all the crazy colours, from time to time it's really uplifting to get stuck in and let loose! Like a little bit of therapy for the creative soul! Yipee colourtastic!!!
Get some colour in yours now,

going going gone...

Some cards that I made last year whilst convalescing fom a wee op I had. Thought they'd be better off going to a good home where they might bring in some funds for a deserving cause...
Now they've gone I feel I should make some more. Aint that the way it goes!

How sweet...

Not a scrapbook related entry but flippin' cute anyhoo! This is Mog all tucked up in Millie's bed. Rachel Hale, eat your heart out! (Not!) Don't know about you but this snoozey kitty pic makes me want to go for a nap too!

Oh the joys of grunging things up a bit!!!! Love it! Guess I'm a bit grungey by nature anyway. Sometimes I feel it's not come from the heart if I've not made a mess while putting it together!LOL. But then sometimes less is more and the pics must do the talking. Now, that's ok if you're a good photographer but since the arrival of digital photography I must admit my photos are a bit, well, rubbish. Especially when trying to capture a spontaneous moment to do with the girls. I find my camera takes the pic a couple of seconds after the shutter button is pressed. Almost like a photo 2 seconds into the future instead of the present. By which time my subject has moved on and I get blurry nonesense instead of a lovely moment in time! That's my excuse! I'll keep trying anyway...
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend,
love Jak x

It actually works!!!

Hey this is great fun to experiment with (as seen in the May issue of Craft Stamper mag)! All you need is some wide sellotape and some photo copied images. Put tape over the bit of image you want to transfer onto the tape then wet the back of the paper and all the white bits rub away, leaving the black toner on the tape. Genius! These 2 tags were my first experiments with this technique. I'm working on them just now to put in the kitty bogroll minis I'm working on...
You have to try it out too!!! Fun!!!
Love Jak

Piccies of work in progress...

I've not been idle....

Nope I haven't! We've been decorating the kitchen and having family get togethers and living life in general. Oh and worth a mention - I've joined a new local crafting club called Crafty Allsorts (named so because between us all we are covering all craft bases including crochet and sitchy thready stuff, as well as anything papercrafty!). We've had 2 meetings so far and there's a real broad range of experienced ladies attending which is lovely and interesting and inspiring to be around other creative peeps. Yay! Only drawback is I just never know what to take with me... ideally everything but the kitchen sink, but my bag won't hold all that!
So, anyhoo, I have to take some photos of the latest things I'm working on. There's a mini baby book that's as good as finished (that was lovely to revisit the girls baby photos - they grow up so quickly!) 2 bogroll books about our new kitties (did that sound a bit course - I should call them loo rolls maybe) and - hurrah - a 12x12 LO. I'm thrilled to get my hands on some 12x12 kraft cardstock from Papermania which is right up my street, so pics will follow! I have also indulged myself a new smart phone - I was due an upgrade and was gently coerced by friends, collegues and Leon to take up the offer of an htc wildfire and so to be truthfully honest, I've been wasting time, in a fun way, with that too. Cool! So there you have it, I haven't fallen off the planet or anything, guess it's just been an impromptu wee break away from blogging. Spontaneity - its the name of the game folks!!!!
Live it and love it!!!
PS - cats are going crazy. It's about time they got to explore the great outdoors I think!
