You will need... paper, scissors, glue and an insatiable urge to do something creative. Don't worry about the ironing - it's not going anywhere...

A summery layout....
God, will it be warm ever again? Enjoyed scrapping this cheery 12x12. Makes me remember a wee holiday we had in 2009 and is one of the very few photos where I'm actually in front of the camera with my girls. The kit I used was from TKMaxx and is a Pebbles Inc collection called Treehouse - its cute n kitsch, just the way I like it! Not sure if Pebbles Inc are on the go anymore. I think I remember reading something about American Crafts buying them over... Anyhoo, the kit was great - has an album, lots of papers and everything. I feel some colourful LO's coming on...

A rotten weekend...
Yes, your eyes do not deceive you - that is my kitchen ceiling or rather was my kitchen ceiling. It is now looking a lot better but both Leon and me have literally cleaned all weekend - the whole house!!! Unfortunately for us, old houses have a layer of ash between floors which is there to dampen noise and help insulate which is all fine and well while it's where it's meant to be, but as soon as you break through the lath and plaster, it comes flying out and covers everything in the whole house - pets included. It had to be done though as we had a leak coming from the bathroom sink which caused the ceiling to crack and it was in danger of falling down on us all and we really wouldn't want that to happen. So now it is fixed and has given us the kick up the backside we need to make us get round to some decorating. Maybe.
Hope your weekend was dust free!
Love Jak

All the girls here...
...are suffering from some hellish virus that has seen us get through 2 bottles of calpol, plus supplementary calprofen in some vain effort to quell nasty soaring temperatures and make sore heads and throats a bit more bearable. However I think we're over the worst now, if the bickering and arguing over what to watch on telly is anything is to go by.
"Mum!!!!I'm not well..."
"Mum!!! I'm worse than her!!!!"
"Mum, I need a hug!!!"
"She won't let me watch the telly!"
"Mum it's my turn for the telly, she's been watching her stuff all day!!!"
"Whats for tea?"
"I'm hungry!!!"
Poor mummy doesn't feel too great either, but nothing a glass of wine with tea won't sort out. Strictly medicinal of course!!!
Ah kids, bless em, they could drive you to drink. (Maybe)

Printer from hell...
Rant, rave, etc... I bought a new printer just back in November and have had to put 3 lots of ink in it already which as far as I'm concerned is just not good enough ok? Now you may think, "Well, you must have printed a lot of stuff then to get through so much ink!" but no - 3 A4 sheets of little pics per ink set does not seem like an enormous amount of printing to me but here's the thing - the print monitor goes from "hunky dory all ink cartridges are full" to "hey we can't possibly work anymore because we are as dry as the Sahara Desert and there's not a spot of ink left in us so just don't even try to print!!!!!" And the other thing that's winding me up about the ink thing is that if you just want a b&w print, you won't get one if any of the other cartridges are empty. I declare the Epson Stylus S21 the worst printer in the Universe - ever!
If only I could find my reciept for it I would take it back but without it, Tesco say "NO WAY! - that's just too bad" and it doesnt even matter that it doesn't work properly, get this "You (yep, that's me) should really have looked after your reciept and been careful with it and put it somwhere safe". Like, have I turned back into 8 year old? That kind of thing really winds me up and I have to try very hard not to raise my voice (madame!) in these situations.
I have one thing left to say on the matter - thank god for compatible inks!
Compare this -
Tesco 3 (CMY- 1 of each) Epson cartidges £20,
Local computer shop 2 of each CMYK £10!!!!
And they work fine!!! I know where I'll be doing my shopping from now on. Anywhere but Tesco!!!
Phew, do i sound a bit stressed? Normal transmission will resume shortly after a lie down in a dark room and soothing cuppy tea!
Now I can get on with printing my photos and completing my project! Yay, I'm happy again!!
